Update on Sanitary Sewer Repair Project – Coles Crossing Drive Sidewalk Repair to begin August 7

The contractor performing the sanitary sewer repair project is in the final stages of completing repairs and restoring areas disturbed during construction.

The contractor is scheduled to begin repairing the sidewalk on Coles Crossing Drive, south of Bowden Creek Drive, on the morning of August 7. The sidewalk will remain closed until approximately August 13, weather permitting, to allow the concrete to dry properly.

We understand many families use this area to walk to/from Sampson Elementary and that the 2025-26 school year begins on August 13. We expect the sidewalk will be opened, at the latest, within the first few days of the school year and ask that families plan a safe alternative route until the sidewalk is opened.

We understand the community’s frustration while this section of the sidewalk has been closed. The Board has emphasized to the contractor the importance of this area to the community and are coordinating with the contractor to have the project completed as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

June 19th Update on Sanitary Sewer Repair Project – Lane Closure on Coles Crossing Dr.

We appreciate the community’s patience as the contractor performing the sanitary sewer system repairs in sections 9 and 10 has been delayed over the last month.

The contractor expects to begin work at the corner of Bowden Creek Drive and Coles Crossing Drive on Monday, June 23, weather permitting. The work in this area will take approximately 4 days. Unfortunately, one lane will be closed during this time as equipment and personnel will be staged on the street.

Please be aware of your surroundings and follow directions of flagman directing traffic through the work zone.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Partial Closure of Trail for Final Stages of Trail Project

We are in the final stages of completing the Trail Project!

The contractor has completed initial construction of the entire project. The District has been working with the contractor to identify areas that need to be touched up before the project is officially complete.

The contractor will replace selected concrete panels throughout the trail system that are cracked or otherwise damaged. Unfortunately, this will result in portions of the trail to be cordoned off while the contractor cuts and replaces the individual panels. Weather permitting, the contractor will begin this work on Monday, May 19 and anticipates the trail being fully open by Saturday, May 24.

Please respect all flags and barricades during this time so the contractor can complete its work as quickly as possible.

The Board thanks the community for its patience.

Update on Sanitary Sewer Repair Project – Lane Closure on Coles Crossing Dr.

The contractor performing the sanitary sewer repair project continues its work in the Coles Crossing neighborhood. Earlier this week, 3 trees along Coles Crossing Drive near Bowden Creek were removed. The trees sat directly above the sewer lines and had to be removed to perform the repairs.

The contractor is expected to begin work at the corner of Bowden Creek Drive and Coles Crossing Drive on the week of June 8th. The work in this area will take approximately 4 days, weather permitting. Unfortunately, one lane will be closed during this time as equipment and personnel will be staged on the street. Completion and restoration of the area, replacement of sidewalk and other remediation requirements will take longer. The contractor has not yet provided a detailed schedule, but the District is confident they will work as quickly and safely as possible.

Please beware of your surroundings and drive slowly and cautiously through the work zone.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

MUD 364 Sanitary Sewer Repairs & Tree Removal

Over the past few months, Mud 364 contractors have been examining the sanitary sewer system within the District. These inspections identified some areas that require repairs.

Removal and replacement of some sections of the sanitary sewer system will begin this week. Unfortunately there are 3 trees along Coles Crossing Drive near Bowden Creek that sit directly above the sewer lines. These trees must be removed to facilitate the repairs. We will be replanting vegetation and trees in more suitable locations to prevent a similar situation in the future. Planting will begin in the cooler fall to give new trees and vegetation the best opportunity to thrive.

While we always strive to protect the community’s trees, please understand that these are necessary repairs to ensure the sustainability of our sewer infrastructure.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Sanitary Sewer System Repair Notice

MUD 364 is conducting an underground sewer televising project throughout the District. The results from Sections 9 and 10 identified some issues that need to be addressed, including areas where the lines are sagging and are not fully transporting waste products to the sanitary lift station and on to the sewer treatment plant.

To ensure the ongoing reliability of our sewer infrastructure, MUD 364 has opted to begin those repairs. This project will require excavation of some sidewalks and driveways. Over the next few weeks, the District and the Contractor will provide residents with notice of when the excavation work will begin. Residents directly impacted by the removal of a driveway or sidewalk will also be notified by certified mail.

The Contractor is required to provide notice 24 – 48 hours before beginning work on or adjacent to your property. The work will not require residents to be home and at no time will field crews enter your home. Any pavement, grass, fencing, trees, landscaping, or sprinklers that are damaged during construction will be restored by the Contractor at no cost to the resident.

The Board of Directors of MUD 364 is committed to providing every residence with superior water and sewer infrastructure and we appreciate your patience as we make these necessary repairs.

Phase 3 Remains Closed to Public – Please Stay Out of Fenced Areas!

Phase 3 of the Trail Project (“T-Loop”) remains closed to the public as our trail contractor completes its work on the final phase.

Earlier this week, the trail contractor poured the concrete in Phase 3 and secured the area with clearly marked fences. Unfortunately, individuals ignored the fences and damaged the freshly poured concrete, as shown in the pictures below. The District is exploring all its options to fix this issue but there will likely be increased project costs and delays.

The Board urges all residents to keep out of fenced areas even if it looks like there is no active work in progress.

In the meantime, please visit Phases 1 and 2 of the trail system!
