Partial Closure of Trail for Final Stages of Trail Project
We are in the final stages of completing the Trail Project!
The contractor has completed initial construction of the entire project. The District has been working with the contractor to identify areas that need to be touched up before the project is officially complete.
The contractor will replace selected concrete panels throughout the trail system that are cracked or otherwise damaged. Unfortunately, this will result in portions of the trail to be cordoned off while the contractor cuts and replaces the individual panels. Weather permitting, the contractor will begin this work on Monday, May 19 and anticipates the trail being fully open by Saturday, May 24.
Please respect all flags and barricades during this time so the contractor can complete its work as quickly as possible.
The Board thanks the community for its patience.
Phase 3 Remains Closed to Public – Please Stay Out of Fenced Areas!
Phase 3 of the Trail Project (“T-Loop”) remains closed to the public as our trail contractor completes its work on the final phase.
Earlier this week, the trail contractor poured the concrete in Phase 3 and secured the area with clearly marked fences. Unfortunately, individuals ignored the fences and damaged the freshly poured concrete, as shown in the pictures below. The District is exploring all its options to fix this issue but there will likely be increased project costs and delays.
The Board urges all residents to keep out of fenced areas even if it looks like there is no active work in progress.
In the meantime, please visit Phases 1 and 2 of the trail system!

MUD 364 Trail Update – Phase 2 is OPEN!
Phase 2 of the new trails is now open for pedestrian traffic. Phase 2 is located from Tylermont Drive to Coles Crossing Drive by the lap pool.
Phase 1 of the trail system opened in Mid-January. Phase 1 is located from Cypress Hall Drive to Coles Crossing Drive.
There are site furnishings to be added including benches, garbage cans, drinking fountains and dog/pet waste stations. These are being installed upon receipt from the manufacturers. Landscaping and new signage will follow at a later date.
As the trails open, please remember to pick up after your pets. E-coli bacteria from pet waste is the number 1 contributor to Cypress Creek contamination. A clean Cypress Creek benefits us all.
Thank you for your patience as we strive to deliver a quality and lasting trail system.
Phases 2 and 3 Remain Closed to Public – Please Stay Out of Fenced Areas
Phases 2 and 3 of the Trail Project (main loop and “T-Loop”) remain closed to the public. For your safety, please keep out of all fenced areas and refrain from moving or bypassing construction fences and orange construction barricades/barrels. While work may not be actively in progress, the fenced area is part of the project site and residents must stay out of the area for their safety and the safety of our contractors. Continued public interference could cause costly project delays.
In the meantime, we encourage you to visit Phase 1 of the Trail Project which was completed in mid-January!

Phase 2 is Underway!

Trails Project Schedule Update – December 20, 2024
MUD 365 has completed its inspection of drainage infrastructure underneath the trails. While they did identify some necessary maintenance and repairs, MUD 364 does believe those efforts will not impact the trails themselves. We’ve therefore made the decision to proceed with Phases 2 and 3 of our Trail Project without any further delays. The updated general schedule for each phase is detailed below. Please remember that this schedule is tentative and subject to change.
- Phase 1 (Cypress Hall Drive to Coles Crossing Drive): currently underway and expected to be complete by mid-January
- Phase 2 (Tylermont Drive to Coles Crossing Drive): January 15 – March 11
- Phase 3 (Coles Crossing Drive to Latticevine Drive): March 12 – May 16
We are updating this page regularly. Please check back for the latest on the project.

The project will begin on September 16, 2024 and is anticipated to last about 6-months, pending any weather or unanticipated delays.
Demolition of the current trail will be done in three phases. The general schedule for each phase is detailed below; these dates are tentative and subject to change. The District will provide updates to the schedule when they become available.
- Phase 1 (trail between Cypress Hall Drive and Coles Crossing Drive): September 28 – November 9
- Phase 2 (trail between Tylermont Drive and Monteigne Lane): October 7 – December 23
- Phase 3 (trail between Coles Crossing Drive and Latticevine Drive): October 26 – February 6
Please note that while demolition of the current trail will be completed in phases, the entire MUD 364 trail system will be closed until all phases are complete. FOR YOUR SAFETY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE TRAIL OR ANY CONSTRUCTION AREA UNTIL THE entire project is complete.
The District will provide periodic updates on this webpage and via text alerts.
